3.7 Utilizing Block Volume Backup

The Block Volume backup function is a function that backs up the data in the Block Volume and keeps it separately. The backed-up volume can be restored and used immediately after backup or at any point in time. Backup files are stored in OCI Object Storage and are encrypted by default. It can be used for all Availability Domains in the same Region.

There are Manual Backups, which backs up at the user’s desired point of time, and Policy-Based Backups, which backs up automatically according to policies.
